UNDERSTANDING EW LIFEWORKS’S TELEHEALTH GUIDELINES
All telehealth services comply with the standards of confidentiality, as outlined in the federal HIPAA law and the laws of Washington State RCW 70.02 and RCW 18.225.105.
Even with privacy and security protections, there is a risk of viruses or other malware infecting a website or app used for telehealth.
If you are not in a private location during a telehealth appointment, please note that other people may hear you or see parts of sensitive health information about you. To maintain confidentiality of your telehealth visit, it is recommended that you be in a location where others cannot see or hear your session.
